Sanook! QQ Webchat for new generation chat fans
Bangkok — xx September 2008 — Sanook.com, Thailand’s favorite website, is introducing Sanook! QQ Webchat, a friends online chat service. There’s no need to install any program on the computer because users can chat online through http://webchat.qq.sanook.com.
“Our Sanook! QQ instant messenger has been gaining popularity today because they’re easy to use for communicating with friends,” said Torboon Puangmaha CEO of Sanook Online Co Ltd, the operator of Sanook.com.
As Thailand’s number one website, Sanook! recently developed Sanook! QQ Webchat. The latest form has been updated with great features to meet the specific needs of Thai Internet users aged between 13 and 22. According to NECTEC’s survey of Internet users in Thailand in 2007, this age group accounts for 13.5 million users, or 52 per cent of the total. Sanook! QQ Webchat has been designed to be easier to use without having to be installed on a computer. Users can instantly chat through http://webchat.qq.sanook.com. Sanook! QQ Webchat also comes with search friend function and emoticons, which offer what’s more to enjoy.
Sanook! QQ is originally an instant messenger program that helps the users find a friend to chat with without knowing his or her email address. They can also specify their target group, categorizing them by age, gender or home province, and chat with them as a group using video and audio via a microphone or webcam. Users can also search for websites, use remote assistance systems, upload and download files, share music and video or play music while they’re chatting online with others.
The program also allows users to send SMS at special prices, and it also has a function that will block messages from user’s you’d rather not hear from.
Sanook! QQ Webchat involves Thailand’s largest online chat community, and the company is confident that it will receive a warm welcome from Internet users. It also hopes that this will boost its membership thanks to its user-friendly features designed to meet the requirements of a wide variety of users.
