Sanook! Video – Sanook’s new entertainment hotspot
In response to the increasing demand for video clip sharing websites, Sanook.com is introducing Sanook!Video, a new entertainment website providing video clips of all kinds. It is available now for users to upload and download their clips at http://video.sanook.com/. Displayed in Thai, its colourful theme and functions enable users to search for their favourite video clip with a single click.
“The success of our Sanook!TV service showed us that the video clip section was the most popular with 11 million page views per month,” said Torboon Puangmaha, CEO Sanook Online Co Ltd.
“This means that video clips are still a hot trend on the Internet, and their popularity is continuing to increase. To respond to this uptrend, Sanook.com decided to introduce Sanook!Video, which is separate from the current Sanook!TV service. The new service displays in Thai language with a colourful theme. It allows users to create their own playlists and makes it easier for them to search for their favourite video clips with just one click.
“The web page with the biggest number of viewers -- as many 1,018,032 page views per month -- is the Music category displaying music videos followed by the Miscellaneous category displaying talk of the town issues, hot daily news, with 709,270 page views per month. After that it’s the Sexy zone with 417,372 page views per month.”
Torboon added that he wanted Sanook!Video to be a quality online community website where members of all ages could share information, experiences and opinions. It would be a place for entertainment that blends useful content and a varied mix of items ranging from breaking news, Thai and international music videos old and new, comedy gags, short films including rare footage and ad spots.
“We’re committed to bringing the best quality service so that our members can enjoy the most exciting mix of entertainment at one stop,” he said.
Using Sanook!Video members can upload and download their favourite video clips to share with friends via many channels. They can also check out which clip is the most popular through the visitor counting programme and Top Users rating. It is available now at http://video.sanook.com/.
